Dedicated to virtuoso percussionists Steve Paysen and Dominic Donato, this rollicking, mostly 4/4 marimba duet is written in a rock-bluesy style and develops an 8-note recurring theme. The tempo marking is quarter note equals 88 and there are mostly 16th notes, 16th note triplets and syncopation. The performers use two mallets while playing single-note lines as well as double stops. Approx. 3 minutes in length playable by high school or college students. Funk and fun!
