Just Sing was created in January 2002. It was inspired by a song of the eminent Japanese composer, Toru Takemitsu titled, “Utau dake”. The sounds of male voices outline a melancholy tune in a slow chant as long marimba tremolos provide a murky undercurrent of troubled spirit. Vibraphone chords add a simple punctuation to the mood as harmonicas and accordions sigh abruptly from time to time.
