Terry Smith
Terry Smith is a percussionist with the Colorado Symphony (formerly the Denver Symphony). He also he runs a booking agency for musicians (http://coloradoensembles.com/) and plays tenor pan with Pan Jumbies steelband (http://panjumbies.com/). Before joining the orchestra, he was a professor of music at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a freelance musician in Minneapolis/St. Paul, where he performed and recorded with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera Company. He has also played with the Santa Fe Opera, the Central City Opera, and the Canary Islands Opera. After completing his doctorate, he served for five years as a professor of music at the University of Colorado-Boulder. MMB Music publishes his transcriptions of jazz solos by Gary Burton and Milt Jackson.
