Michael Burritt is Professor of Percussion and head of the department at the Eastman School of Music.

His first venture into composing with electronics, Michael Burritt’s The Fragile Corridor was inspired by Pat Metheny’s project, “Orchestrion,” where Metheny created a massive electronic orchestra as a platform with which to perform his compositions. Burritt collaborated with his friend Matt Curlee to create an exciting and energetic piece.

Technical requirements:

The Fragile Corridor requires the use of a computer with a Digital Audio Workstation application, a USB audio interface with two outputs, two speakers (Stereo L and R) for the audience, and earphones for the performer.
